# Welcome to Account Canvas

> Account Canvas helps Shopify merchants design customer account experiences with blocks, sections, pages, and conditions.

Account Canvas helps you build helpful, personalized experiences inside Shopify customer accounts: reusable content, custom pages, visibility rules, and customer request forms.

## Two places to work

**Account Canvas in Shopify admin** is where you create and manage app-controlled content, conditions, and pages.

**Shopify's customer account editor** is where you add the matching app block or page location, connect saved content when required, and save its placement.

Saving content in Account Canvas does not automatically add its placement in Shopify. Preview both the layout and a signed-in customer's experience before making it available to customers.

## Availability

Use Shopify's customer accounts, not legacy customer account theme pages. Available features depend on your Account Canvas plan, Shopify permissions, the account location, and your installed app version. A preview is not proof that a paid feature is published or that a customer action has completed.
